J-Pacific Prepares for Growth
Appoints John P. Thompson Chief Operating Officer

VANCOUVER, NOVEMBER 20, 2009 – J-Pacific Gold Inc. (the “Company” or “J-Pacific”; TSXV – JPN) announced today that is has appointed John P. Thompson, M.Sc., P.Eng., as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer.

In making the announcement today, J-Pacific’s President and CEO, Nick Ferris, says Mr. Thompson has the right skills and experience for the Company as it moves forward: “We’re pleased to have Mr. Thompson join our corporate team. Our company is poised for significant growth, with the opportunity to become a gold producer that will generate sustaining cash flow and continue to aggressively explore new gold prospects. John Thompson’s skills will be invaluable in guiding J-Pacific toward these goals.”

As a geologist and geological engineer, Mr. Thompson has over 35 years of experience in surface and underground exploration, mine development projects, property evaluation and acquisitions, joint venture negotiations, mineral resource estimation and project preliminary economic analysis and executive management in the international minerals industry. He has also managed day-to-day operations for exchange-listed junior exploration companies. Mr. Thompson has been involved with project planning and budgeting, and has supervised, evaluated and reported on a variety of programs from grassroots exploration to mine development. He has worked in numerous jurisdictions, including Canada, the United States, the Dominican Republic, South America and Asia.

J-Pacific has granted incentive options to Mr. Thompson for the purchase of 750,000 common shares at $0.12 per share for 10 years.
